Friday Finds: Gorillatorch Switchback Arrives, Transforms, Finds Love and Other Happenings

Happy Friday Creactives!

Thank you so much for all of you who attended our Tent City event last night! It was a blast (photos will follow shortly) and we were thrilled to introduce the world to the Gorillatorch Switchback accompanied by tasty treats, drinks and the wilderness.

Some of the best press hits for thus far include Gadling who remarked on Joby “being on a roll” (something we are always happy to hear). Wired, on the other hand,  pumped up the Halloween theme with a variation on “things that go bump” in the night. Engadget chose to go mythical with reference to Jason and the Argonauts.

Not to be forgotten, the Gorillatorch Blade got really detailed and fabulous coverage in CNET.

Between the legs’ ability to wrap around smaller objects and the feet’s ability to hold onto larger ones, we didn’t find too many situations and angles that could shake the Gorillatorch Blade. And with two brightnesses to chose from and a generous battery life, the Blade supplied us with more than enough light and use time to install a pair of car stereos in our dark corner of the CNET garage.

Gorillapod Video, also had its chance to be road tested by the Mac:Life Show, where they gave it ride on their scooter and saw just how strong our magnets are.

Friday Finds: Gorillapod Video Makes Waves and Arresting Photography

Hello Creactives,

What a week it has been. Gorillapod Video made a splash with the press including some great pick-ups in Engadget and Gizmodo. True to form, Wire‘s cheeky and slightly risque title definitely stood out.

Photography Perspectives

This haunting and beautiful shot was achieved by mounting a Gorillapod to a ceiling fan. Titled “Late at night–in your sleep–you’ll hear my lonesome call” (quite a mouthful) by  Flickr artist Bitca, this arresting photo is slightly odd and very intriguing.
